Thankful Thursday

This week I am thankful for:

  • All of your kind comments on my last post in helping me to catch up - I feel much better now :).
  • A ton of pictures to edit and upload - now I just need the time to do it - ha!
  • A great week of travel last week, including dinners with Nicole (who is a dear IRL friend), Isaiah, and Rae (who are both now IRL friends thanks to this bloggy world :))!
  • Oh, and the coolest - yet also kinda surreal - thing happened. One of the men at the conference last week says "I have a weird question - do you have a blog?" I said "yes, why?" He said my wife reads it! I got all excited because I thought it might be someone I knew, but alas she is a lurker. But it was way cool, and very very weird at the same time, to be recognized by my blog. So, to A's wife - Hi! :)
What are you thankful for this week?

  2. So glad we were able to get together!! And funny about the recognition. I sometimes wonder if anyone I know IRL has stumbled across my blog and not said anything!

  3. Hey, Rebecca! I'm A's wife. :) I've been following the world of Catholic infertility bloggers for over a year now. I'm not sure how much my husband told you, but I was diagnosed with LUFS at about 7 months into our marriage. For a reason only known by God, we conceived our son on the next cycle with help from NaPro. We have no idea if I'll experience it the future (my doctor said LUFS is hard to diagnose and not much is known about its causes, thus it can be hard to treat), but we're trying to enjoy the here and now with our little Gabriel. Anyway, on Thursday night as I was trying to fall asleep it popped into my head that you might be at the conference too, given you're also a new director. So I asked my husband with the info I knew and he was like, "Oh yeah! I know her!" Small world! :) Will you be attending the NACFLM in July? Gabriel and I are thinking of tagging along. :) It would be fun to meet! I have a blog, too, but it hardly has any posts. . .I've been meaning to get back into it, so I'll let you know when I do!

    1. Hi Kara! A did tell me a bit about your story - such a beautiful blessing. I'm sure you know there are lots of women dealing with LUFS...so you are in the right place for support if it causes secondary infertility in the future! I'm so glad that you mentioned it to A. that you thought I might be there and that he mentioned it to me - other than being a bit surreal - it was kind of neat too!

I am going to NACFLM in July - I'd love to meet you and Gabriel :). Please do let us know when you get back to blogging :).

      Thanks for commenting :)!

  4. You know, that's the same thing that happened when I first met TCIE at a conference. We were chatting, and I put two and two together, so I asked her, "Um, I promise I'm not a stalker, but do you have a blog?" :)

    1. I totally thought of you guys when this happened - and then totally felt sorry for A's wife because some people (you!) get to recognize and meet TCIE and then some get me - poor thing! And since I've met TCIE too - I know it's way better to meet her ;).
